It was our organizing team's pleasure to recently transform multiple spaces in a gorgeous home in Raleigh, NC. Our clients had moved into their recently renovated home a few months ago and were struggling to complete the unpacking and home set up process. They are both busy professionals and had a puppy and elderly dog at home vying for their attention. They weren't able to make the space as functional for themselves as they dreamed. That's where we came in! Read on to see photos of their completed project and why they said Hello Simplified was "an absolute game changer for us." The Pro Organizer Picking ProcessThey recently had stunning designs installed by California Closets in Raleigh for their pantry and primary closet, but they weren't able to elevate the spaces to their full vision. They bought a bunch of products for the pantry and tried to make them work, to no avail. Attempting to choose and implement products, to find it's more difficult than you thought, is super common for people that contact us to be experiencing. Choosing products and easily knowing what will and will not work in a space is a skill we've honed over the years. We love that, like many other questions in our modern lives, they looked to ChatGPT to find the perfect Raleigh professional organizing company fit. They typed in what they needed help with and our name popped up. They checked out our website and shared with us that they loved our non-pushy, genuine communication style, which sealed the deal for them. They reached out via our website contact form and one of our lead organizers did a phone consultation with them. To save time and get started quickly, they texted us photos to get an estimate. We sent a proposal for their pantry, primary closet, and bathroom, which they promptly accepted. The Product Particulars The clients decluttered before their move, so the focus was more on adding products and making the areas functional, beautiful, and maximizing the space. The clients were so lovely to work with and were excellent communicators during the process. They not only discussed their priority spaces with us (something we always ask about) but even shared their goals for each space, via email, before we product planned. For the pantry, they wanted to maximize the space while keeping more functional (and less aesthetic) items out of site. For the closet, they also wanted to make sure to maximize the space while keeping items that are out in the open neat and tidy. We like to send clients our quick and easy product quizzes to get a better idea of their style and preference. We have a quiz for the kitchen/pantry and the primary closet. In the quiz we show various products such as plastic storage bins VS hyacinth baskets VS metal baskets and the client can click "Love this!" or "Not so much". We also leave room at the bottom to add any other comments or info the client would like to share with us. The clients completed the quizzes, the lead organizer on the project and owner Sandi constructed the product lists, and we sent them to the clients to approve or give any feedback on. Once approved by the clients, we ordered the products from Amazon and The Container Store. We always like to overbuy to give wiggle room and make sure we have enough to problem solve with in the moment. The Personalized PantryAs mentioned above, the pantry was recently renovated by California Closets, but the products the clients tried using on their own were a bust. Working together with the clients to achieve their specific vision, we were able to find products that were functional but also beautiful to display. As we organized the home, the clients and our team thought of additional products that would be useful, as is common. For example, the clients ended up wanting to decant more pantry staples than we originally thought. Not a problem! We discussed decanting with the clients, who decided that the additional upkeep of decanting groceries was worth the elevated look to them. We ordered more glass canisters and added them in at the next session. We also added beautiful white labels that the clients found online. One of our favorite touches was the many loose teas that we found these little jars for with acacia wood tops. We organized them on matching acacia wooden turntables. Stunning! The clients preferred to have the pretty glass jars front and center when the doors were open, so we ended up putting the can shelves off to the side, where they're still accessible but more hidden from sight. The final pantry look is streamlined, visually pleasing, and makes it easy to find whatever you need. The Perfected Primary ClosetWe've organized some beautiful closets in the past, but this may be our top favorite yet! Walking in, you're enchanted by the huge chandelier and tall glass doors. We did our tried and true process of sorting like with like and hanging items by category, such as dresses, short sleeves, long sleeves, pants, etc. We organized clothing within each category by color, going from light to dark. Color order helps you find what you need quickly and looks very calming to the eye. We kept the wooden hangers the clients already had, since they looked classy and there was enough wiggle room with hanging space to use thicker hangers. There was plenty of shoe storage, which filled two walls of shelves. Purses were displayed on shelves above. The space was big enough to have a center island with ample drawer storage. This is where we chose to install bamboo drawer dividers horizontally instead of vertically, since their dresser drawers were quite long. Luckily, the drawers pulled out the entire way, making it easy to utilize the whole drawer. These served as the perfect place for socks, underwear, and bras. We tried a few different options for the open shelves. We started with baskets and after the clients lived with it for a few days they realized they were up for folding items and keeping them out in the open. We switched to clear shelf dividers instead, which we think was a great switch! We also loved the acrylic hat organizers which allowed them to be displayed instead of stacked. Our Pleased ClientsThe clients were thrilled with how the spaces turned out. They left us the nicest review: "From the start, they felt more like friends than a service team. There was zero judgment, just thoughtful advice, clear communication, and genuine care. We especially appreciated that they took the time to shop for all the organizational items we needed—it took so much stress off our plate, more than we realized at the time. Their personal touch, creative vision, and ability to stick to a clear execution timeline made this such a smooth and rewarding experience. It was an investment, but one that was absolutely worth it. I can’t recommend Hello Simplified enough!" We mentioned our maintenance services to them, since they like to switch out their wardrobe for summer vs winter. They loved this idea and we can't wait to go back! They were truly a joy to work with. Thanks for joining us and reading to the end of our closet, pantry, and bathroom transformation!
